With a full slate of vendors prepared to serve up fan-favorite foods, the Drive-Thru Fair Food Festival at the Orange County Fairgrounds September 24th-27th and October 1st-4th, is your socially distant answer for family fun in 2020.
If you’ve attended the Orange County Fair, or any county fair, you’re likely missing those once a year treats and traditions that can only be found at your favorite event. Vendors at the Drive Thru include Maxwell’s Walk-A-Ways Inc: a staple at county fairs across the Hudson Valley, known for their classic sausage and pepper sandwich which is a favorite dish of Orange County Fair and Speedway fans. Dave’s Devil Dogs BBQ, another local favorite, who has served Orange County Fair events, will also be in attendance with delicious BBQ, Pulled Pork and Brisket. Other fair food classics will also be on hand including Funnel Cakes, Fried Twinkies, Corn Dogs, Philly Cheese Steaks, Gyros, Candy Apples, and of course the classic cotton candy and so much more. If it’s a fair food classic, it will be there!
The festival’s “Drive-Thru” format will allow patrons to choose which stands they’d like to order from. Drivers will be provided with a map, a menu and taken on a route through the grounds. Guests are free to stop at any of the locations that interest you and if you pass by one of your favorites, you can re-enter the drive thru at the end. The event, which is FREE to attend, is for vehicles only and cannot accommodate walk-up customers to provide a safe, socially-distanced experience for everyone. Festival-goers are also able to purchase parking spots to enjoy the fair treats right on the grounds while they’re HOT; visit www.orangecountyfair.com to purchase! Thursdays and Fridays, gates will be open 4-9PM and on weekends the event will be open from 11:30AM to 9PM.
Anyone who wishes to attend is encouraged to visit the “Orange County Fair – New York” Facebook page, where you can enter to win 4 free $10 food vouchers and a $20 VIP parking spot simply by liking and commenting on the pinned post! The contest will remain open until Thursday, Sept. 24th, the opening night of the Festival.
