The first vendor to be revealed for The Drive-Thru Fair Food Festival is Maxwell’s Walk-A-Ways Inc! Maxwell’s has been the longtime owner/operators of the Orange County Fair’s on-site bar “The 31st Lap Tavern” as well as heading up concessions at the over a century old Orange County Fair Speedway. Though the bar cannot open due to COVID-19 restrictions, Maxwell’s is also famous for a number of their snack stand offerings including the “Maxi-Dough” fried dough, and the mouth watering Sausage and Peppers Sandwich, which features a recipe passed down from the long closed “Frankie’s Sausage Bar” an institution in Middletown having sponsored one of the greatest drivers of the Orange County Fair Speedway, Frankie Schneider. Maxwell’s will also be offering fresh squeezed lemonade, a staple at any county fair and other drinks in 100 Years Commemorative Orange County Fair Speedway cups.
Stay tuned, because we are going to be revealing a new vendor each day in anticipation of the Orange County Drive-Thru Fair Food Festival!

The event scheduled to take place on Sept. 24-27 and Oct. 1-4 at the Orange County fairgrounds, in Middletown NY, will feature a “Drive-Thru” style format where fairgoers enter the grounds in their vehicle, drive up to designated “stops” or areas with certain types of fair foods and receive window service like a classic drive-in diner! Thursdays and Fridays, gates will open 4-9PM and on weekends the event will be open from 11:30AM to 9PM.
